Pumas & Dragons

Last 3

We took advantage of the long weekend and the cool weather and visited the last 3 missions in San Antonio.

Mission San Juan was under major renovations and the kids were sick of walking around so only I got out at the last one to get a quick picture.

Hayden turns 7

Hayden turned 7 yesterday!  I can barely believe he is so big.  Before his party he had a soccer game and he scored a goal!! He wanted to have a science party this year.
  We dug for dinosaur bones.

 We cracked open geodes.

Put mentos in diet coke.  James did the first one and let Hayden do the second.  He didn't get out of the way fast enough and got a diet coke sinus wash.

We made mini volcanoes.

And homemade slime.

Hayden had a great time.  We sure do love this kid!!  He is such a great big brother and loves to take care of his little brother and sister.  He is excellent at piano, loves soccer, loves to swim and read, he always gets perfect marks at school and was placed in the GT program.  He is always so happy and we are so lucky to have him in our family.

Here he is on his actual birthday.  He is getting so tall.  He can't wait to be taller then me and at the rate he is growing it will be much sooner then I would like.

 Thanks everybody!!

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you Hayden.

Easter 2012

On Saturday we did the traditional Easter activities, dyeing eggs and going to our neighborhoods egg hunt.  No on in our family likes to eat hard boiled eggs, so we have started the tradition of seeing who can throw them highest into the air.  They crack so fabulously and we all love it.
On Sunday we focused on the Savior.  We went to church and I loved the messages the speakers gave.  Primary was crazy but I think the children I taught understood the message.  We spent the rest of the day together as a family and enjoyed a big Easter dinner with homemade eclairs for dessert, they were amazing!!

Crazy Sock Day

Brooks had a crazy sock day at school.  He loved wearing his dad's soccer socks that went all the way up his leg before James folded them down.  He wore them all day long.

Piano Recital

video
Hayden has his first piano recital on Saturday, March 3rd.  James figured out how to get the video from my phone to the computer for me, so finally the grandmas can watch him.  He was pretty nervous in the morning, but once we got there he was fine.  He played first and did such a great job.  We are so proud of him.  Right after the recital we had to rush off to his first soccer game of the season.  Big kids are busy.
